The Project

Via Credit Union was chartered on April 22, 1936, as the Marion Indiana Public School Employees Federal Credit Union — built by teachers pooling paychecks to help each other. Over seven decades, it expanded from school employees to Grant County, merged with neighboring credit unions, and in 2008 the membership voted on a new name: Via Credit Union, with the tagline "Success Takes Direction." Today Via serves 37,000+ members with $577 million in assets across 12 Indiana counties, from Marion to Warsaw to Hamilton County.

That growth — from a single-school employees union to a multi-county community institution — needed a website that communicated scale, modernity, and member-first service. Via had built a strong branded product suite (ViaAuto, ViaConnect, ViaVisa, ViaPersonal, ViaBill Pay) but the digital experience didn't reflect it. Product discovery was flat. Members couldn't find the right product without already knowing what they wanted. There was no live digital support, no on-site financial education, and limited self-service tools.

Avtec built a website that feels like Via — not like a template. The Spend/Save/Borrow product explorer on the homepage organizes products by what members want to do, not banking jargon. Every product page carries Via's branded name and voice. LiveChat connects members to real staff for live human help. MoneyEdu financial education lives on-site so members learn and act in the same session. Financial Calculators embedded via MoneyEdu let members run the numbers before committing. AppSecure handles secure forms, while MeridianLink powers account opening and membership applications. Rate tables, skip-a-pay, the 90th anniversary celebration, community impact content, and the annual report are all managed through Avtec CMS with full SEO & AI Search optimization.
