The Project

Founded in 1950 by employees of Southwestern Bell Telephone in Little Rock, Telcoe Federal Credit Union has grown into the 2nd largest credit union in Arkansas — serving 22,400+ members with $487 million in assets across four branches in Little Rock, West Little Rock, Sherwood, and Russellville. Telcoe is also a free employee benefit for 200+ Arkansas businesses, making membership accessible to tens of thousands of workers statewide.

The previous website organized products by internal department structure — checking accounts buried under one menu, savings under another, loans somewhere else. Members who arrived knowing they wanted to save for a car or consolidate debt had to translate their goal into the credit union's language before they could find the right product. Calculators lived on separate pages away from the products they supported. Employer partners had no visible presence. Rate tables sat disconnected from the products they priced. The site described Telcoe, but it didn't help members act.

Avtec rebuilt the site around intent. A Spend/Save/Borrow tabbed product explorer with "I want to..." language lets members find products based on what they want to accomplish. Eleven Financial Calculators are embedded across the site — including auto loan and savings calculators on the homepage itself — so members run the numbers before they even start browsing. Every sensitive request runs through AppSecure forms. Checking account comparison tables make product selection a decision, not a research project. A member testimonials carousel builds trust through real voices. A dedicated employer benefits portal turns 200+ partner businesses into a member acquisition channel. Rate tables link directly to product pages and applications.
